Oshtemo Engine 511 was called to assist Kalamazoo Township Station #4 on a house fire Wednesday at 9:50 AM.  Dispatch information reported a fire in the attic.  Engine 511 responded from House #1 as well as several Oshtemo firefighters in their personal vehicles.  Engine 814 was the first unit on scene and reported a single story home with light smoke showing.  First in crews deployed a 1-3/4" attack line and extinguished what fire could be found in the attic.  Additional crews vented the structure and worked on overhauling the attic space.  Due to the heat in the attic all the blown-in insulation was removed through the use of the "attic-vac."
