OFD Welcomes New Engine

The Oshtemo Fire Department welcomed its newest member on Saturday December 12. The new member is a 2008 Pierce Velocity fire engine and it was officially placed into service at a christening ceremony held at Firehouse #2. During the ceremony Engine 533 was officially retired from service.

Highlights of the new engine include:
- 6 person cab
- Enclosed pump controls
- 750 gallon water tank
- 30 gallon Class A foam tank
- 1500 gallon per minute pump
- 5 fire attack hoses
- 1100 feet of 5" supply hose
- 600 feet of 3" supply hose
- PTO 10KW generator
- Enclosed ladder storage
- Front and side airbags
- Independent front suspension
